Dream House

After seeing pictures of a friend's house that she just bought. I thought I would go and look and see what I like. I came accross this house. It is Mission Style and I love it. Now only if it was $75,000 cheaper and I would probably try to get it:) Enjoy the pictures!!

It could do without so much yellow, but still love it.

Monday in Hong Kong

Monday started of with greeting the kids. Then our first class was music, that went ok we were kinda getting our feet into it and figuring out what to do, but by the last music class we really had the hang of it and the kids were more into it. We also had an English class and that was fine, we will just get better as the week goes on:) Overall the day went good.
Then we decided we wanted to go to another market so we all went on the subway system and went to the Ladies Market, we did pretty good with the bargaining, it was alot like NYC Chinatown and all the bargaining:) I walked away with some good purchases pretty cheap. The picture above is from that market. For supper we decided we were already tired of Chinese food so we found a Pizza Hut, and let me tell you that it was the nicest Pizza Hut that I have ever seen. Well I need to go so we can prepare for the next day of school.

Sunday in Hong Kong!

So Sunday we went to church in the morning and that was quite interesting since they had to translate it for us, but it was good! Then for lunch we went to a restaurant and had Dim Sum (sp) and I found something I really liked, it was a bbq pork thing! Then after lunch we had a planning meeting for our classes. Then after that we went to the mall across the street from the school and shopped and had supper in the food court there.

I made it to Hong Kong!

So to start off we made the 14 hour flight over here, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. We left San Fransico at 12:30 pm and arrived in Hong Kong at 6pm "Hong Kong Time" so we are 13 hours ahead of central time.
We arrived at the school and and then had some orientation and then we were all ready for bed, even though the ladies in my room we all woke up quite a few times at during the night.
Saturday we started off going to Stanley Market and had some of the school girls with us to help barter prices with us! We ate some good Chinese food for lunch.
Then we headed to another place to shop and I got my Jade ring that I was looking for!! Then we rode the Peak Tram down the mountain. (It was raining while we took this down so I didn't get the best pictures) It is pretty much was like riding a roller coaster down except they went slow down it.
Then we were down at downtown Hong with all the really tall buildings. NYC is nothing compared to these buildings.
Then we took the Star Ferry to another island and then ate at a restaurant called "Rice Paper" which was Vietnamese food. Then we headed back to the school and now I am thinking about calling it a night and it is only 8:30.
So hopefully I can keep this up as the week goes on!

Hong Kong

Well I leave for Hong Kong in 12 days and I am not even close to being ready. I am hoping we have access to internet when we get over there, and I will try to update this everyday we are over there.

I take a test tommorrow and am a little nervous (second time taking it, hopfully this time I pass).
And now I will leave with a picture of my dog Chloe (this was when she was a puppy, not so much anymore, my sister calls her Ms. Priss right now:)

Here's to Spring

I have got to thinking that I really want spring to come. I do not like cold weather.
